The annual Hellas Softball Winter Camp was held in Tarpon Spring, Florida between Christmas and New Years in 2023.
The HBSF welcomes NEW Head Coach Jay Nelson to the Hellas SoftballProgram. Coach Nelson retired as the head coach at Rutgers University atthe end of the 2018 season. He led his team to their first-ever Big 10conference tournament in 2016 and led the 2010 Rutgers team to their 1stBig East tournament and another Big East tournament appearance in 2012.An experienced clinician, Coach Nelson was a top assistant at Seton HallUniversity for 10 years prior to Rutgers, where he helped guide the Piratesto two Big East Championships, three NCAA Tournament appearances andpart of a staff that garnered two regional Coaching Staff of the Yearawards.
The Hellenic Baseball Softball Federation announces the termination of the cooperation with the coach ANTONINO FOTI as well as his partners. E.O.M.S. would like to thank Antonino Foti, Shan McDonald, and Shane Showalter for their valuable assistance in developing the Federation program. They will always be friends of the National Team and we wish them every success in the future.

Το Σάββατο που μας πέρασε, 18/03/23, έλαβε χώρα στην Πάτρα το Σεμινάριο-Παρουσίαση του Baseball5 παρουσία των Τεχνικών Συμβούλων και Προπονητών της Ομοσπονδίας κ.κ. Τομ Μαζαράκη και Μπάμπη Τριγωνάκη. Αρκετά παιδιά καθώς παλιοί και νέοι αθλητές-αθλήτριες του Σόφτμπολ και του Μπέιζμπολ, όλων των σωματίων της Πάτρας, συγκεντρώθηκαν στο Παμπελοποννησιακό Στάδιο Πάτρας για να γνωρίσουν το Baseball5. Πρόκειται για την πρώτη οργανωμένη προσπάθεια στην Πάτρα μετά από πολλά χρόνια, κάτι που περίμεναν οι φίλοι του Μπέιζμπολ και του Σόφτμπολ της Πάτρας για πολύ καιρό. Για όσους δεν γνωρίζουν το Baseball5, πρόκειται για το νέο άθλημα της Παγκόσμιας Ομοσπονδίας Μπέιζμπολ-Σόφτμπολ (κατ’ επέκταση και της Ελληνικής Ομοσπονδίας Μπέιζμπολ-Σόφτμπολ) το οποίο θα αποτελέσει ουσιαστικά τη βάση της νέας ανάπτυξης και δημιουργίας της νέας γενιάς αθλητών και αθλητριών για τα αθλήματα του Μπέιζμπολ και του Σόφτμπολ. Στο Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο της Ευρωπαικής Ομοσπονδίας Μπέιζμπολ Σόφτμπολ εκλέχθηκε ο Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Ομοσπονδίας Κωστής Λιαρομμάτης.
On 21/12/2022, the Deputy Minister of Sports, Mr. Avgenakis, signed the affiliation of the Baseball and Baseball 5 sports to the Hellenic Baseball Softball Federation.
Today, December 19, 2022, it was decided to revoke the affiliation of the sport of Baseball to the Hellenic Gymnastics Federation.
On December 14, 2022, a visit was made by the President of E.O.M.S. Mr. Kostis Liarommati, accompanied by the Federal Technician Mr. Dionysis Horafas, in the city of Komotini with the aim of promoting and developing baseball and softball in the said city, as well as in the wider region of Thrace and Eastern Macedonia.
The newly formed Baseball5 U17 National Team traveled to Sofia, Bulgaria in November to compete in the first Baseball5 U17 European Championship.
The National Baseball5 U17 team will travel to Bulgaria to compete in the Pan European Baseball5 U17 Championship which will be held for the first time in Sofia.
EOMS declared participation in the 1st PAN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP under 17 which will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria from 16/11 to 19/11/2022 with the participation of 14 national teams.
The National team at the recent Women's Pan European Championships held in Barcelona, Spain from 7/24 to 7/30 placed 7th out of a total of 21 National teams.
The National Softball team had the opportunity to visit the sports facilities of the private school AVTENERGO in Argos where a new Softball field has been built with the undivided initiative and effort of Mr. Ioannis Karkalatou.
HBSF, as a sign of honor and recognition, awarded during the team's preparation at the DOA facilities the following athletes for their continuous and undivided participation in the Federation's program
The Mayor of Ancient Olympia Mr. Giorgos Georgiopoulos and the Deputy Mayor for Sports Mr. Dimitris Costarias were present at the training of the National Softball Team at the facilities of the International Olympic Academy where the mission is hosted.
